TV series

Castlevania (Season 3)

Release Date: March 5th

Genre: Drama, Dark fantasy, Action, Adventure, Horror

Invested by Netflix and based on Konami’s game of the same name, the animated series Castlevania has been well received since its premiered in 2017. The series follows the adventures of the Belmont family of monster hunters, who eventually defeat their arch-enemy Dracula.

The show released its first season on Netflix on July 7, 2017, with four episodes. The second season has been expanded to eight episodes and was released on October 26, 2018. The upcoming third season has been renewed for another 10 episodes.

The Protector (Season 3)

Superheroes? Turkey?

Turkey always impresses people with hot air balloons and romance. The Protector, however, is a Turkish original series that tells the story of a superhero.

Adapted from the book Karakalem ve Bir Delikanlının Tuhaf Hikayesi, it was very popular among Netflix users. Luckily, it is returning for a third and fourth season. On March 6th, its Season 3 is going to meet with its fans on Netflix.

Paradise PD (Season 2)

Release Date: March 6th

Genre: Adult animation comedy

If you have watched Paradise PD Season 1, you are likely to feel that it is similar to a show. Yes, it is similar to the adult animation Brickleberry. Premiered in 2012, it ran for 3 seasons. It mainly tells the strange stories in the fictional Brickleberry National Park. But the show was later canceled.

In 2018, Netflix announced that the producer of Brickleberry, Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, would continue to work on the story of the Paradise Police Department.

There are mainly seven members in the police department, including the chief (Randall Crawford), the chief’s son (Kevin Crawford), a psychotic and violent police (Gina Jabowski), a police officer who suffers from PTSD (Gerald “Fitz” Fitzgerald), an obese police officer (Dusty Marlow), an elderly bisexual police officer (Stanley Hopson), a police dog (Bullet).

The main task of them is to maintain the peace and stability of Paradise. They failed to do it by messing all things up. But the ending is not bad.

Kingdom (Season 2)

Kingdom, Netflix’s South Korean TV series that first aired on January 25, 2019, is now set to air its second season. For those of you who haven’t watched Kingdom Season 1, it is highly recommended as it is a very good zombie TV show. Based on the webcomic series The Kingdom of the Gods, Kingdom is the first original Korean show of Netflix.

Season 1 takes place in Korea’s Joseon dynasty. To stay in power, the Cho family tries to bring the dead king back to life, which makes the king a zombie. A mysterious undead plague spread across the whole country. The Crown Prince Lee Chang fights to find the truth of the plague and prevent it from spreading.   

Who is the spy beside the Prince? Will the conspiracy of Cho Hak-ju be exposed?……

Ozark (Season 3)

There are plenty of good Netflix original shows, but not every one of them is a blockbuster. Ozark, which launched in 2017, is one of the best TV shows that Netflix has released in recent years. It is regarded as the new version of Breaking Bad by audiences, focusing on money laundering. It tells the story of a couple of economic advisers. After they move to the summer resort in Osage Beach, they launder money for a Mexican drug cartel. The director and leading actor, Jason Bateman, beat Game of Thrones to win the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.

Are you fans looking forward to the third season of Ozarks? Luckily, it was confirmed that Netflix will release Ozarks Season 3 on March 27th.

The new season is about what happens fix months after season 2. Marty and Wendy fight for the control of the casino. Wendy wants to expand it. While Marty hopes to stick to the status quo. What will happens when Wendy’s brothers come to the casino?

Spenser Confidential

Based on the novel Wonderland by Ace Atkins and the Spenser character created by Robert B. Parker, Spenser Confidential is the fifth collaboration between Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg. Their previous collaborations include Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, Patriots Day, and Mile 22.

The movie is different from the novel that follows Spenser from a wisecracking boxer to a private detective in Boston. It begins with Spenser’s release from prison, where he was stripped of his private investigator’s license. When he uncovers a sensational murder and the conspiracy behind it, he is drawn back into the dark world of Boston crime.

Spenser Confidential is one of the must-seen Netflix originals in 2020. Its first trailer was released on January 20, 2020, by Netflix.  

Lost Girls

Release Date: March 13th

On January 28, 2020, Lost Girls premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It will be available to stream on Netflix on March 13h. It is a mystery crime drama adapted from Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery, the book written by Robert Kolker. Based on a crime case in real life, it is directed by Liz Garbus who is famous for making documentaries.

Mary Gilbert’s daughter disappeared. While the police do no help to find her missing daughter, she begins her investigation with Long Island where her daughter was last seen. During this investigation, she exposes a wave of unsolved murders of more than a dozen sex workers.
